New tool for emergency departments caring for children with sickle cell
The Family Centered Pediatric Emergency Department Sickle Cell Assessment of Needs and Strengths (FC-Peds-ED-SCANS)© was created to address the complex management of children with sickle cell disease in the emergency department.
The Care Coordination: Empowering Families training provides parents with the skills, knowledge and resources they need to coordinate care for children with complex needs in partnership with a medical home.
